Breakaway Coupling Transmits Pressure and Torque
Initially targeted at spindle crash protection to decouple a probe or tool from a spindle or shaft this patented device features unique technology that greatly simplifies its mechanism and enhances reliability. Lateral deflection causes an uncoupling while reset is accomplished by reinsertion. Tapered surfaces ensure concentric realignment. Applications span robotics, pick and place, quick change tooling and gantry driven heads to name a few. Typically made from stainless steel IntellePro can custom fabricate unique solutions for challenging situations.
